Yawning The Moon Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Yawning The Moon

Rating: 5.0

Cat adopts
the position

of a Sphinx
on the windowsill

yawns &
releases

a moon

that settles
on top of

a geranium

creating a perfect
picture

which as if
by magic

he then takes
himself out of

leaving the moon
just where he yawned it

balanced
still

on the top of the potted plant

only an invisible miaow

betraying
where

it had been.

I have to agree with Onelia here, Donall...this is so written in your own Donall Style. Only you would think this and then be able to write it this way...only YOU.

Wonderful - style Donall Dempsay - hardly to be mistaken for someone else!

You are seriously the man! I love your writing bro, I think we both kind of think alike. These strange poems really connect with me, and right away say 'i am an original'. I've gone through countless poets on here, I would venture to say you are one of the best. 10/10 -david
