Most of us talk when we should just listen. This is a wonderful poem, James. I am saving it as one of my favorites. Ron

What a beautiful poem....The more I read the more my mind could see that September day when strangers became friends. So for that I truly thank you........
I am holding on to memories of friendships such as you speak of here...the memories are sweet but some days are filled with the sighs of their demise...love your poem. 10! Dorothy
Beautiful title. To be rich in friends is to be rich indeed. A poem of insight and sensitivity. Ten without hesitation. Warmest regards, Sandra
We should all have a friend like this. I absolutely love the verse: 'You were somewhat..../a stranger then…Someone I barely knew / Before the night had claimed the day / An old friend I’d found in you' Beautiful and touching poem.
'Friendship poetry' is, of course, usually always sweet, often 'light' and sometimes even sappy. This, though, I found to be warm, wonderful, honest and.. real. There is love here - the sort of love that comes of sharing experiences and discovering, appreciating and honoring the soul of another. And that... is the essence of friendship. Making this - a terrific piece and a joy to read. Very nicely done, James! ~Christine
What a beautifull tribute to a fine friend..... I can relate to this well....... Bonnie
Yesterday - already last, but as a result remained fine memoirs... Tsira
