You And Me Poem by K J

You And Me

When I look at you I see you and me.
I was chained inside, but you set me free.
When I look in your green-hazel eyes, I jump out of my skin.
I love so many things about you; I do not know where to begin.
But there is a wall between you and me.
Something in my past keeps pulling me and want let me be.
I am scared you will not see me for who I really am.
I feel like a lost, little lamb;
Vulnerable to all the bullets that shoot my way.
I am afraid that if I do not do something now, you will decay.
But love do not seem to be on my side.
My soul turns and tries to hide.
