You are right

It never matters
How far you are!
As memory stays so near
And your melodious tone echoes in ears

Yes, it was no loss
But crosses in mind
For those moments
We spent at that time

You were straight forward
With positive word
"We may not see each other"
But your memory shall always offer

I have lived with that forever
As time afforded me to usher
In new era and in crowd
I will still say it loud

I longed for your company
In the presence of an almighty
You never stayed out of my sight
To comfort me with delight

So to say, you were near
And caused no fear
I shall always remember
Your sweet smile forever
