“No, you can not do” I held his hand
Brother was forced not to view it by father
Some of the legal papers
Which were kept in locked drawer?
Father was old but used to get anger
He may shout more and more
Brother lost temper
And tried to be aggressive in unworthy manner
I held his hand firmly and pushed aside
He was rattled and attempted twice
I warned him to be calm and peaceful
Else some thing else shall be imposed forceful
He got the message loud and clear
Now he felt bad developed fear
He was acting under rage and insult
He felt about being not consulted
Such things happen in each family
Not of same nature but differently
Parents do clash with children
It sends wrong signal and mind is sickened
The incidence made me to think
How could brother stoop to such level and sink?
Was it insecurity in mind or just a jealousy?
I wished some good sense and prayed almighty
“You are real son” father came to me and patted
I saw tears in his eyes and sadly spotted
“I shall never forget this gesture” he was almost broken
I took his hand and pressed gently with token of acknowledgement
Love matters as bond in family; but money batters peace as and when we wear the garb of ABEL and CAIN of the Bible. P Nasarudheen, Kasargod..KeraLa Mar 11,2014
In this fully materialistic world, even love is counted on money-basis. Relationships do not have much value. Your poem points out at the necessity of having a value oriented life UK Atiyodi, Kandangali, Payyanur, Kannur 670307 Mar 11,2014
