You cried last night
I caressed my moonlight
as if I had touched a drizzling night
You cried last night
I stood at my balcony
and upraised a bunch of peony
You cried last night
I was in the deep night
and accompanied you to dawning light
There is a striking, impressive interplay between the repetition in the first line of each stanza followed by the vivid, varied imagery in lines two and three of each. This is a tender poem, it calls forth compassion in the reader which parallels that of the speaker of the poem. There is a hurting heart, perhaps deeply wounded by unkindness, but that suffering calls forth spontaneous caring, with no-strings-attached, that is, the person who hears and responds is acting out of pure love for another human being in need. This is the kind of poem that increases our faith in people, and that is a fine servce poetry can fufill.
I also cried last night because you've been quiet all this long. A well written poem...good work done.
You cried last night I was in the deep night and accompanied you to dawning light A beautiful love poem where poet wants to be with the lover to pass through all hardships of life.Well done 10/10 Col Muhammad Khalid Khan
