You End Up With A Cold!

Rating: 5.0

"If you don't listen to mommy",
"You end up with a cold! "

He was a bundle of energy as a baby
Crawling in, through, under and over anything
His toddler clothing getting in his way badly.
So he cast away everything
And only wore a diaper as he crawled up to no good
His mother would say, although she understood
"If you don't listen to mommy", she' d scold..
"You end up with a cold! "

Teenage years as usual bringing with it puppy love
He crawled in, through, under and over the window sill
To see a girl on the street newly come
In the middle of the night so cold, so still
In his teenage haste forgot warm clothing
Smitten by Cupids little arrows going clubbing
"If you don't listen to mommy", mom 'd scold
She 'd say "You end up with a cold! "

At twenty he's grown up quite a hunk
Mommy is mommy no matter how old
But, in his mind it never ever sunk
He went out without jacket forgot what he was told
He was too busy too worry, too strong
Too old to be mummies boy but mom sang her song,
"If you don't listen to mommy", she'd scold
"You end up with a cold! "
