You Were The Wind Poem by Romeo Della Valle

You Were The Wind

I wrote your name
In the sky then heard
It loud and clear
Echoing in the wind
Reverberating in my
Ears as a picture appeared
Disguised as a woman
I imagined that it was you!

My own artful creation
Strange as it may seem
The one who came to
Hold me if only in my
Dreams as I asked you
To dance embraced
In my waiting arms
Filling me up with all
Your beauty and charms!

I was rendered speechless
A smile was my first sign
A voice so soft..so sweet
Whispered words of love
Such a harmonious
Pleasing sound that
Captivated all my senses
In a language known
Only to the heart!

A new reality exists
The brightness of
Two souls joined as one
Painted on a canvas
As a work of art
Two souls shall never part
True wisdom lies in
Heeding the call when
Love comes to greet
You lighting up your
World as the moon
Sun and stars!
