I've thought about you & the chill
That you send down my spine.
I want to see where you lay
Your head without the company
Of a phone.
How your breath stands up &
Walks across my skin like I've envisioned
Over a thousand times.
Filling the gap of tingles that appear
Between the goosebumps on my skin.
The release of insecurity & thought
Of pain, enforced and reassured
By the kiss of my lips to where that ache
Resides. Like any other medicine taken
Around the clock.
Take me back to your place
To see where you lay your head,
To see what the universe looks like
through your eyes.
To wake up and see that Venus is no longer
Under pandemic advisory,
Sound asleep in my arms.
The space between us in full rotation
My arms wrapped tight around you.
To wake up & do it all over again
This time at my place
