Your Song Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Your Song

I'm basking in precious memories,
On this peaceful afternoon,
As i float into the distant past,
I hear your favourite tune,
The Impossible Dream,
Oh how you loved that song,
It's one you often sang for me,
How sad those moments are gone.
But every time I hear it,
I feel so warm inside,
It's a fine reminder now,
Of those days,
You were by my side.
I long to see you everyday,
Sadly that cannot be,
Go follow that star,
Like the words of the song,
Wherever you may be.
