'' You're Guilty Of Greed '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' You're Guilty Of Greed ''

To all those out there,
Who are robbing us blind,
Let me make you aware,
You're being more than unkind,
Humility is rare,
When with the devil you've signed,
One day he will make you bleed.

You are digging a hole,
Common decency you flout,
Though Satan plays a role,
Your conscience holds clout,
When you sell out your soul,
There is no way out,
For avarice, you develop a need.

You have all you desire,
Yet you crave for more,
You'll thieve to acquire,
Sinning isn't a chore,
What will light your fire,
Is what's next in store,
Yet still, you refuse to take heed.

Those you walked by,
While on the rise,
Will watch as you cry,
When you meet your demise,
When you start to ask why,
They'll ignore your cries,
Regardless of how strong you plead.

In that road to the top,
You forgot to look back,
It's caught you on the hop,
Now you're suffering the flak,
It's one hell of a drop,
When you're under attack,
You're but one of a nasty breed.

You're at Heaven's gates,
Life will be Sunny,
Saint Peter then states,
God doesn't use money,
You're in dire straits,
You don't find that funny,
For mercy it's too late to plead.

You're not feeling sublime,
This is judgement day,
Your partners in crime,
They're well on their way,
Being knee deep in grime,
Hell's where you'll stay,
God's judgement?
