Zenith Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Zenith

I feel a great and mighty wind over hills and plains
Sweeping across the land, uprooting weeds to be burned.
As the rays of the sun are issued like golden lanes,
Let us walk on the pathways having the light we earned.

We march into battle for the next phases of time
As we let the Dove fly above the tides and seasons
And the Word to command and spell each meter and rhyme
Coming from the Mouth that made lands rise from the oceans.

Paralleled to secrets they say our universe is―
A thin line that makes invisible from what we see.
And right now I know that we can set ourselves at ease
If we secure the Truth within life’s reality.

Today is a new day and I greet it with goodwill.
This is the day we become one, united in heart
And our spirits identified by the mark and seal
Of Skyline’s blessing that brings us to a higher part.
