Alone In The Cold
I call her.
I need help.
She leaves me.
Im in the cold.
All alone.
I follow her.
She finally listens.
'No comprende' she says.
She takes HIS side.
The one causing my pain.
She stabs me.
She kicks me.
Says that I'll be the one to blame.
I was lost.
And confused.
I asked her for help.
Asked her to show me a paved road.
She buried it,
said, 'Oh well'
and headed for home.
She left me.
Stranded.
Just like that.
All alone.
In the cold.
On a dirt road.
I followed the road.
It was winding and hard.
Through jungles.
Through mountains.
I conquered it all.
I finally crawled onto my doorstep.
Guess who's there in the cold?
My best friend.
All alone.
The one who left me on a dirt road.
Anger makes me want to leave her.
Lock her outside.
Let her hunt for the road.
All on her own.
But that's not who i am.
So i bite my tongue.
I open the door.
And let her inside.
She tells me her problems.
The same ones i had mere days ago.
The ones that she left me to deal with.
On that dirt road.
She's my best friend.
I help her.
Cuz thats what i do.
I could never hurt her.
