When you're feeling sad,
And finding yourself down,
When you realize,
You're eyes are glued to the ground,
...

With eyes of white,
And with the force of a flood,
The angel strikes against,
The one whose soul is soaked in blood.

My mind is trapped in a void,
So empty and cold,
But despite my solitude
I am not alone.
...

Protect me, please GOD,
Keep me in your light
For I become so cold
when I'm lost in the night,
...

I'm nothing more than an angel.
But I've strayed so far from home.
It's been so many years,
Since I was called to the throne.

Nothing compares to the grave,
Embraced forever by the dirt,
When all have left you,
There is still the earth,

Love is healing,
at least i have always been told,
love is lasting,
love never grows old,
...

There's a beauty in nature,
That will always feel right,
When you go for a walk,
In the middle of the night,
...

Some hide under the bed,
And some hide in the dark,
But the one I fear most,
Lives in my heart.

I know she's in pain,
But I can not turn back,
I've made too many mistakes,
And my life is off track,

My emotions are gone,
I can no longer care,
My screams no longer
Fill the air.

The building's fictitious,
As are the halls,
But it's so hard to tell,
When stained glass covers the walls.

You're eyes are so sad,
You're happiness is gone,
Yet you find more strength,
And always carry on,

I need a plan,
Actions to take,
A path that doesn't
Leave chaos in it's wake,

Purpose and joy,
They go hand in hand,
Cause without purpose,
Men don't feel like men.

I need an escape,
Something to pick me up,
Something to fight for,
Something I can love.

A time to reflect,
To look back at the worst,
As well as the best,

But never in my darkest mind
Did I think it would be the end of me,

Running

I was running a race,
But at the speed of a crawl,
I did what everyone said,
But I didn't care at all.

And soon I decided,
I would take a break,
I had plenty of time,
To finish my race,

But then she came along,
With her own little plan,
And told me that I,
Could be a better man,

So we started moving together,
Just a slow walk,
but I struggled to keep up,
I'd had much rather talked,

But you kept pushing,
so I followed close behind,
And thought I could beat you,
I tried to sprint for a time.

Then I tripped up,
I thought my race was done,
But you got me back on my feet,
Told me to get up and run,

And after my slip up,
You stayed right by my side,
With a friendship so warm,
And a sweetness so kind,

And soon enough,
The pace turned to a jog,
And every inch,
You were with me all along,

And when I thought I was winded,
And I told you to go on,
You simply refused,
And kept pushing me along,

And after a mile,
I was back on to my feet,
Being nudged on by a friend,
Who I knew was so sweet,

And my self motivation,
Something I thought was gone,
Began to come back,
I had to push on,

I wanted to run,
And so we quickened the pace,
And soon I was moving forward,
With oh so much haste,

And now here I am,
Advancing by leaps and bounds,
Knowing its just a matter of time,
Till I fall to the ground,

But I have faith,
And such a great friend,
That I know if I ever fall down,
She'll be there to give me her hand.
