Journey of Feeling

Begins with a smile
Reincarnated to be a desire
Despite the cold often to charge
Hard-hearted still not budge

From desire become a feeling
Expectations, nuances, also charming
Together, blinded the soul
To differences that invisible

In the differences, doubt created
Make hearts stray to the fragility of believe
Only survive without able to against
Indeed slowly, but surely will gain

Feelings are important but so is reason, to much feeling can cause great divisions which can only be subsumed by temperance and reason. If it is a journey of life then there are many feelings that enriches us from what we learn.

Great language rich in texture (Report) Reply

Life on earth is an unending journey of feelings and emotions, at times limiting us to daily existence. When writing poetry we expand our horizons to include a cacophony of awareness through our senses. Your poem inspired the above thought. Thank you for allowing me to read your poetry. Very good expression. RoseAnn (Report) Reply

I see this journey long and has many rocks to stub a barefooted soul.
But feeling comes in many forms like some feelings are protective like shoes.
Other feelings are soothing like a salve you put on your feet. And still other feelings
are green grass to those feet when the shoes come off and and cool air give the feet relief. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

Conscience is instinct bred in the house,
Feeling and Thinking propagate the sin
By an unnatural breeding in and in.
I say, Turn it out doors,
Into the moors.
