What is teenage love?
Is it real? I say those three words,
What do they mean? Anything? Nothing?
You tell me they mean everything,
Twisted perceptions of reality,
As you spit your lies of love and forever,
I swallow them like the sweetest wine,
Turns to vinegar in the end.
So my life moves on.
I stitch together my fragmented soul,
I never give up, keep searching,
Striving for the Holy Grail,
The faceless figure from all my dreams,
And I find her, a few times,
At least for the first week or two,
And then the heartbreak ...
