Doting On An Angel Of Earth
An angel has decended from the Heavens,
To grace us with her presence;
To our unworthy eyes,
She has come as a majestic sight,
Wearing no disguise
And with eyes full of light.
To set eyes upon one such as she,
Makes one say 'A God there must be'.
She lacks wisdom,
But needs it not in her kingdom.
What is love she knows not,
Yet for her men have fought.
The fact is hard to bear,
That such beauty should disappear.
But I shall die,
Without a sigh,
For I have seen
Where the hand of god has been.
