Presently pastor a Baptist church in North Carolina.
I have been in the ministry over 30 years. I served my country in the US Navy during Vietnam era, and had
two WestPac tours visiting NAM several times each visit. I'm happily married with grandchildren. I have no hobbies but reading and writing. Most of my poems will have life experience in them, and be Christian in nature. more »

The Day The Towers Fell

We will never forget the battle you fought
The price you paid, or the lives that were lost.
The families left behind, with grief in their heart,
Or the cries of the ones left behind in the dark.
I know you were scared when the lights went out and you couldn't see.
But you never doubted we'd find you and pull you free.
You climbed those floors with SCBA's, and full turn out gear,
Proving those who wear the Red Badge of Courage show no fear.
Trying with all your strength to save the lives of others,
