Trains rush past; organic impulses to the city.
We, both together:
metallic.
staccato
Buildings blurred by the wayside. Gone.
Silence—
our fingers entwine in anticipation,
become lost in skin

.memories skylark down silvery streets:
.barren now
.winter soon
.footprints ahead-
isn’t an echo precious to hold?

Sakura falls in array of our silhouettes;
its branches shelter sky from falling snow.
