Bridge To Better Days
Soothing bricks, I find, together aligning
Time-eaten towers crumbling aside,
To songs of church choirs, Alas! The shining,
As my own self-hindering visions collide
To the point of a door made of ivy,
For as the castle dissolves, angel'd arise
And thus taken this path, form of an abbey
To where the songs and I should praise
The smouldered future aside from my eyes,
As gently the sky would give way
To darkness and cursed clouds of despise.
I then shall rush forth, from this castle of clay
And all of these walls shall too crumble aside, ...
