Trained in piano at an early age I found a way to channel my creativity and rage I'd sit at the piano and turn a page And start playing; the world was my stage. Beethoven, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Mozart I wondered at their musical prowess and art I was young though when I had my start And I played with my hands, not with my heart. I grew up quickly and discovered more Classical music wasn't the only one knocking at my door A world beyond the romantic and baroque I came to know Woah! Rock and roll. Should I have a go? The Rolling Stones, Presley, The Who and Queen My mind reels with their shouts and screams Nasty, vibrant, colourful and mean I hear them sing, and I'm lost in a dream. I sing and I play and I listen to them enthrall And I'm filled with wonder, respect and awe They're musically divine, to me and to all And now I don't fear the cracks in the crystal ball.
