Stranger

Beautiful eyes catch me off guard
Playful, inquisitive, piercing.
My eyes can't lie as I unashamedly stare
Into unfathomable depths.
I crave to understand such beauty
I wish to be reflected in the crystal blue
and defined by sharp grey intelligence.
My heart breaks when you look away, breaking
a magical moment stolen in time.

Box

Boxed in
Locked in
By expectations
Of mine and everybody else.
When will I learn?
Will I ever learn
What it's like to be free
Be me?
Who will catch me
If I leave the expectations behind?
It can't be you
There's not room in your box for two.
