No One Is Boss
Its cold, its dark,
The wounds prolonging stings sting,
As the sharp but slow tongue of the slimy stalker stabs.
When is the time I get to choose?
When is the time I get to live?
When is the time I don’t always have to always give?
Look sharp, stand tall,
All I am is a mule,
Working for the opposing team,
Knowing I will never lead.
The one point of my existence,
Is to be controlled by others who think they are in control,
No one is boss,
All we do is follow.
