Once, when I was holding a lily
And staring at the sunset, I
Saw into the distance and there it was
A beautiful white light.
It called me to its brilliance,
But I did not go. I was too afraid.

Once, when I was holding a daffodil
And staring a at whisper which was caught
In the field by the wind, I saw an angel.
She called to me gently then captured the whisper.
But I could not go. It was not my time.

Once, when I was holding a rose
And staring at a teardropp which was stuck to
One red petal by a thorn, I felt Your touch.
