My boy, you know, he loves to skate,
Hurt a shoulder, break an arm,
A missing tooth just adds more charm.
Drive to Philly, it cannot wait,
Chase that fine elusive fate.
A flying board, a car alarm
“Man, them skateboarders sure cause harm.”
But no, not I, I don’t partake
In this miserable obsession
I can hardly stay awake
As I watch another session.
And the day grows long and sticky
All them boys are drinking beer
I pray “Dear Lord, I shan’t be picky,
But do please get me out of here.”
Yet I stay and in the morning
At six o’clock ...
