    While googling myself (we all do it....don't we?) I was made aware that there appears to be two Jef Evans' in the universe! How can this be? ? ! ! ! I'm flattered that the poster assumed that I (the Jef Evans who spoke at Revolution) wrote this poetry. But I didn't. However, when I was 11 years old I did have a really pathetic poem published in a community paper. I stopped writing after that and, trust me, the world is a better place.

Rainy Days Are Better For Some Things Than Others

I'm soaked to the ground.
Chilled to the bone,
Warmth being pumped in spurts.

Smile and laugh.

They stare at you strangely
as you run around in a monsoon,
droplets as big as your thumb
crashing to the ground
splattering with a sickening smack.

Think of the one you love.

Dancing with unavoided sanity,
laughing with a friend or two
while they stand safely dry.
She stands there near your lover
waiting for her dad
and your girl laughs.
You're taken but you smile.
She'll never know.
