I Stood Still

He walked in slowly but suddenly ran
Ran towards me, around in circles
I wanted to cling to his arms and swing
To lock my eyes to his and wait for a kiss
Yet I stood still and just watched
As he's pushed aside by a betraying catch
What we could have been, in time was frozen
Never to be felt or seen again
Then the wrong one swept me off my feet
My heart he kept, many days I wept
Till he tossed me to the garbage heap
