The Angel And The Roses

the mist hung low
as he trudged along
the deserted road
nothing but the leaves
under his weary feet
the whispers
of the trees
the shadows
of those
who have passed
before him

nothing gows here
except the trees
and the roses

like a tiger
they burst forth from the undergrowth
like lovers
they fill the starry nights
with a fire
so bright
and so passionate
dripping from the very petals
a purposful flow of
energy
charged
and ready
