Kailia Chatterton Poems

The Darkness
is closing up all around me;
clouding my vision,
clouding my thoughts,
...

Sleep has escaped me once more,
I wish to dream of you and nothing more.
Another day, another night without you
God Damnit, I feel so lost and alone
...

Dear Daddy Dearest,
why do you always seem so stressed,
always worried, always disappointed...
In me.
...

I thought i was so strong,
untouchable,
like I was on top of the world
and crying didn't happen,
...

What are we now?
What will we become?
Nothing but a distant memory
of yet another year that has
...

Things I couldn't control went the
wrong way,
I lost my way,
Just wandering through life,
...

A beautiful young woman
sits there.
Laughing and playing with
her hair.
...

Scared,
Urge to cry,
Screaming,
Unbeknownst to everyone else,
...

Anger,
Hatred,
Vulgarity in the form of words,
Revulsion,
...

Guilt,
Sadness,
A little regret,
A mothers' cries
...

So confused
I dont know what to do;
How can you love someone
but also want someone else?
...

Your shadow is lost in the dark of night
once again,
on the beach,
intoxicated by the islands warm air;
...

Like so many things,
my life has changed...
I have changed...
For good or bad,
...

The sound of raindrops and thunder,
The smell of rain in the air,
I touch the windowpane,
as I watch the raindrops glide,
...

Outside is what I show you.
Outside is what you see.
You say: ' What could be so bad
that would cause you to hurt yourself
...

Ever so lightly,
Ever so Brightly,
she dances;
Day or Night,
...

My Life...
My Mind...
So fragile and easy,
To break...
...

What the hell are you waiting for? ?
I've been sitting here,
and I'm ready to walk out the Goddamn door.
For Hours...days...months...
...

A Lost young petal
wandering souls
I see the dream you seek
Follow me please if you dare...
...

One, Two, Three, Four
roses, daisies, flowers galore;
a dream I once had when I was seven,
dancing and prancing in
...

'The Darkness'

The Darkness
is closing up all around me;
clouding my vision,
clouding my thoughts,
clouding my everything.

The Darkness is now consuming me,
nowhere to go,
nothing to see,
nothing to taste
and nothing to feel;

The Darkness,
has swallowed me up,
as I sit here crying,
bleeding and dying,
I'm torn in half,
by the thought of what I've become.
Can I find my way back again?
Out of this Disturbing Darkness...
