Lost Key

Purple buds appeared this May;
Drowning in tears and not yet day.

Just yesterday I found your long white gown.
My smile grew, but upside down.

My life is gone; I see your tree.
This is not the way my life was to be.

I cared for you; I begged to stay
In your arms, but it is May.

One year gone, how many more
Bitterness, eagerness fills my core.

They tried to keep, me from you,
But souls depart, that’s life too.

Rings dangle; I lost my key
And I stand alone; its just me.
