In the poem, ADAM AND EVE, ” BY LUCAS CRANACH THE elder 1526, what was the point in comparing Eve, bored of paradise, with a female teenager leaving a mall never to be seen? Is curiosity and a sense of adventure to be considered the mortal sin? And thus merits disappearance, death or worse abuse?

Marks

My husband gives me an A
for last night's supper,
an incomplete for my ironing,
a B plus in bed.
My son says I am average,
an average mother, but if
I put my mind to it
I could improve.
My daughter believes
in Pass/Fail and tells me
I pass. Wait 'til they learn
I'm dropping out.

Home For Thanksgiving

The gathering family
throws shadows around us,
it is the late afternoon
Of the family.

There is still enough light
to see all the way back,
but at the windows
that light is wasting away.
