Kaleidoscope

Like a kaleidoscope, you are a charming whimsey,
To take out of the closet occassionally,
and hold tenderly in my hands, like a treasure.

Raising it up, eye to eye piece,
I look into the glass appraisingly,
Broken, bright, bold, intricate pieces....

With a swift magicians slight of hand,
A wonder to behold,
As the elemements dance to and fro.

Worlds beyond rainbow colors,
Patterns beyond Grecian mosaics,
Momentarily enthralling, I can lose myself in you.

Till my eyes weary from the heady rush,
Till my arms tire from the weight of ...
