The cold desert flogged me again
and it's fine grains ripped open my skin.
Exposed, my cold bitter organs
toiled to keep alive.
My buried limbs were crushed to dust
and the heavy sandy dunes won.
An enemy to the night,
I was forced to give in.
My eyes shut and I saw the light,
that light I knew and loved.
Safely cradled in your arms,
our bodies clasped like cogs
and we began to turn in lustful grace.
Speed fastened, our solid pace stirred
and the shafts began to heat,
it brought us to our knees
and I begged you, please don't go again.
