Like a royal palm
in a subtle breeze,
lazing in the shade,
she is home...

Fan branches sway out of control,
brought back to rest,
calmed resilience,
she is confident...

Standing alone surrounded by
tall dune grasses,
a holy drum circle
makes thunder rise...

The last to see the sunset,
she is the first sunshine,
after all the years...
her sharp bright blue eyes...

A silhouette against the moon,
mocking birds mock early,
she is beauty,
she is beauty...
