Comments about Michael Tunduli
Why Am I Here
Am no extra-ordinary person, am like you
Like many I have often wondered, why am I here?
To live for few years and die?
To amass as much wealth as I can and enjoy?
I looked for answers from the east to the west
But whatever, each only increased my emptiness
Than at the beginning of my quest
West’s dry philosophies couldn’t nor the east’s lies.
Whatever I tried, there was a hole within
That neither pleasure nor work could fill
A relationship couldn’t too, it increased the void
In atheism, the hole almost swallowed me up!
How foolish and blind...
I too have loved and lost
By death, betrayal or outright rejection.
I have loved and lost
People dear, who had my heart’s total affection.
When in the silent hours I think
About them and how they went away
I newly miss them and my heart sink
Then I wish God had them awhile more stay.
