012409b It Will Be Alright Poem by Manonton Dalan

012409b It Will Be Alright

so grateful with open ears
offered comfort through
whispers; reached deep
eased throbs to ground
yet, mist covered eyes
beneath fabrics; darkness
wishes otherwise; with
hidden smile; i breathe

un-easiness brush my lungs
a certain discomfort felt
i close my eyes; picture past
rain on valleys covered grass
two creatures march to sunrise
clouds deny; still with smile
to see all pupils all seated
embarrassed i cower in corner
for whole class an eternity

when bell’s ring i run outside
there she was with ice cream
and whisper “it will be alright”
i went back with fire in heart
i keep it wherever i maybe
even now, that she is gone
