031710h Eat Breakfast Poem by Manonton Dalan

hunger suddenly appear in me
begging me to stop somewhere
i ask my gps for little advice
flashes on screen where i was
there's one a mile away, back
i ain't turning, i'll get the next stop

there it is ihop for hearty breakfast
looks like nobody cooking anymore
line is as long as or longer than dmv
i check the clock it says ten after five
i ordered a quick easy one, pancakes
with eggs, sausages and sweet tea

aroma really makes me hungrier
i took a big bite and have it wrap
give her tip and proceed to register
oh! my, what a relief feeling better
plus i have something to eat later
while i work i'll sneak for a biter
