032110f Greedy, Full Of Claims Poem by Manonton Dalan

032110f Greedy, Full Of Claims

brittle leaves of grass beneath my shoes
fading yellow blanketing the fairways
spot of green is fewer than birthmarks
sturdy roots are still there holding great
a promise of soft landing for dimples
whack by speeding, unforgiving blade

birds come to pick on scattered seeds
as fox silently stalks by shadows of reeds
hunger could push any to hunt on sunshine
compromise, couldn't be picky for worms
sheepishly walk away, arching for a move
lost desire, horse around, into bushes gone

snake slithering on naked branch, skinny
maybe enjoying warmer moments of a day
all alone not even a dragon fly on roosting
amazing how it could climb by just coiling
i wonder what she will do with four limbs
she will be like you, greedy, full of claims
