i can see your watery eyes
as you reach to zip it up
i took the blame for not
letting you know, my fault
bite my ears off or pinch me
i don't like you to be stressed

'how long been like that' you ask
'long enough' with assuring gesture
and i promise i won't tell to nobody
we know, nobody we can't trust
i cite numerous bloopers for cheers
even lady godiva riding a horse

i know, cry on my shoulder
i won't be looking at it, i'm
sure it would be hidden
beneath my chest for safe
keeping, whenever we see each
other we will sit back to back
to avoid unnecessary contact
