i strap my duffle bag and start walking
so many has change i could, i could recall
dirt road becomes wider, fence has risen
couple of houses on both sides erected
it would be a good four miles to my house
i walk way farther than this, i make it easy
i saw a kid on a horse, he doesn't know me
dogs are barking, thay haven't smell the scent
sun will be kissing the crest of the hill in minutes
chickens are parading towards their shelter
some hop up to a tree or to roof of a house
the lake is still here, rippling with glee at me
