I don’t make a decision without discussing it with you.
Your opinion is welcomed in everything I do.
You worry about me and said you wonder if you did your best.
My answer to you is always yes.

My day isn’t complete until I hear your voice,
then the telephone rings, you call me by choice.
We go for our morning coffee and laugh and talk a lot.
It’s our time together now, this is all we’ve got.

I love you deeply, there’s nothing I can do.
You always tell me you love me too.
Our love is different, it’s strange, can’t be explained.
Those that know us well, wonder if we’re insane.

Another woman came into your life,
I knew the time had come, for you to take a new wife.
We made arrangements to divorce,
follow through with the course.

Life changes, seems nothing stays the same.
I must move on, possibly take on another man’s name.
We made huge mistakes in our past,
not giving our marriage a proper chance to last.

What a lovely poem. Even though the relationship did not last, it sounds like your souls are still attached. I can relate.

sometimes in life, there are turns where one wouldn't know how to react but that is the time when we let things 'be'.sometimes everything seems to be running well but what is being followed behind, is what makes us question. it is not the togetherness of bodies but what makes a relationship beautiful is being spiritually together....i adored this poem.
