096. I Never Thought That I Should Warn You Poem by Jaden Knight

096. I Never Thought That I Should Warn You

I never thought that I should warn you
but now I realise that I should
maybe you won’t listen to me
but I would have told you so

it was about three years ago
that you first needed my help
saying you were being bullied
I tried to help out as best I could
but your story was all lies

Some months later you started again
saying this time it was me
that was causing trouble
but the truth was found out
and you were caught lying
you escaped punishment
but your plan had failed

It was some time afterwards
that you got your mum involved
keeping the rumor mill going
sticking your noses into every one’s business
claiming you had a right to
you should have known it was a bad idea

You kept your lies going
losing more friends
though you didn’t seem to care
always trying to dish more dirt
which was never true

You tried to get people beaten up
by saying that they were causing harm
had a group of people listening to your every word
but not every one believed your lies

Every time I see you now
I just want to get back at you
until I remember the saying
what goes around comes around
I’m quite happy to keep waiting
until your lies fail
then it will all come back on you

It may not be from me
it maybe from one of your so called friends
that you cling to like a burr
it maybe from a complete stranger
but trust me on this
you’ll get yours eventually
