1812 And 1941 Poem by james watkin

1812 And 1941

With smoothness of style, with imperturbed
Bearing of appeasement
Is waged waylaying, most auspicious!
So marched the white element
Of two furies' smothering, down from
The birthplace of Winter.
When nature appears to oversleep
Muscovites sleep sounder!
