203. If You Do Not Love Me Poem by Jaden Knight

203. If You Do Not Love Me

It matters not to me about what money you have
the size of your bank balance would not impress me
a mountain of coin would not keep me faithful
if you did not love me

It would not matter what gifts you would buy
presents can only show so much
a gold plated tanker would be no good to me
if you do not love me

It does not matter where you take me
even though I love to travel
a holiday in Jamaica would be meaningless
if you do not love me

A rich person is nothing special
I'd rather be with some one who cares
it's true that I would stay faithful
to someone who truly loves me

it appears you took Kim B.'s title suggestion. i like it.. i am resurrecting this from where i placed it nearly two years ago, in MyPoemList, and putting it near the end of my LONG (over 40 poems by over 40 poets) August showcase. if i draw poems for a showcase in Sept. from MyPoemList, i should start from the end of the alphabetical list of poets! ! Thanks. i hope you have been able to upgrade your computer access and anything else in your life you may have been wishing to upgrade! have a snapdoodle haymaking summer/fall/spring/ and...........ooops! i have winter out of order. bri :)

John, I love this poem, but I think it needs a proper title. How about If you do not love me or If you did not love me ? Well written.
