.4. Go Forth Young Man Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Go Forth Young Man

Go forth I was told when much younger
Seek out all those things you desire
The way may throw up many perils
But you have the tools you require

The lessons you learned on survival
Will help when the going gets tough
Deflect any force used against you
You’ll know when your foe’s had enough

Don’t ever go looking for trouble
There’s more than enough on the way
Beware friends who tell you life’s easy
They might want to lead you astray

So now you have grown in your stature
Do right in most all that you can
The world is now ready to greet you
Go forth and live life now young man
