.4. In The Sixties Poem by David Threadgold

.4. In The Sixties

Rating: 5.0

Strumming a tune
A little off beat
Clicking your fingers
And tapping your feet

Nobody bothered
They gave you a chance
Not really important
If you couldn’t dance

Girl’s shuffled round handbags
Lad’s propped up the bar
On mopeds and scooters
We didn’t get far

Back in the sixties
We all followed fashion
And all that we did
We all did with a passion

I think I was born too late, but it would've been great to know the things in your lovely poem

Growing up in the 60's was fun, just an Old Hippie now, But I love remembering that time. Your poem brings it back.....10

It's fun to look back to when we were young and innocent and carefree. Another great and refreshing poem, David. Loved it! Warm Wishes, Marilyn
