.4. Sugar Fix Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Sugar Fix

Rating: 4.5

Who put the jam in the doughnut?
Who made the sugar so sweet?
Who sent me down to the bakers?
Who wrapped them up very neat?

What was the reason for buying?
What should I do with all six?
What if I saved three for later?
What of my sugary fix

Where shall I hide them from others?
Where will they never be found?
Where can I eat them in secret?
Where will I not gain a pound?

When I’ve consumed all my doughnuts
When the last crumb passed my chops
When will I need some more sugar?
When I can get back down the shops

Just a fresh brewed cup of Java and we are good for breakfast is my thought! How about joining me, Philip and Marilyn? David is picking up the tab!
