471. Thalassa Sleeps Poem by Jaden Knight

471. Thalassa Sleeps

It has been over three hundred years
since Thalassa the sea goddess was last awake
when her attempted rebellion against her father failed
and she was sent to sleep in the depths of the ocean

There she remains securely bound
by a mixture of chains and sea weed
waiting for the time to come when she can break free
or be accidentally released

Her minions have been busy harvesting the souls
of those who have lost their lives at sea
already they have a huge army
but they can neither rouse or release their mistress

It is fated that one day she will awake
and manage to break free from her bonds
she will lead an army of undead to ravage the lands
before turning on her father again

For now she will remain secure
though pollution has weakened her bindings
we can not predict when she will escape
or what we could ever do to stop her
