.5. Be Warned - Poem by David Threadgold

Blue lights flashing
People dashing
Squealing brakes
Cars are crashing

Early warnings
None came late
No one noticed
Wouldn’t wait

Frost last night
Then came rain
Froze on top
Then frost again

Blinkered drivers
Half asleep
Saw no warning
Speeds to keep

Foot down hard
Started sliding
Now in an ambulance
They are riding

David, great reminder of the perils of early morning driving. Well written as always 10/10
