.5. In Your Eyes Poem by David Threadgold

.5. In Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

In your eyes the candle flickers
Like the sunbeams on a lake
They illuminate your beauty
What a picture they both make

Through your eyes I see much passion
Words alone don’t say enough
Showing love when things are good
Even more when things get tough

Your eyes betray your feelings
I can tell when you are sad
Or when you’re really happy
And the times when you’ve been bad

But eyes are made for looking
I hope you see what’s good
Up to your greatest hearts desires
Viewing everything they should

So use your eyes that sparkle
Seeing everything that’s fine
For the most important purpose
When you eyes look into mine

Eyes really do show so much of how we really feel. Well written.
